Where food comes from

In the UK, farmers are held to account by the Red Tractor scheme. Food that carries the Red Tractor logo has been responsibly sourced, safely produced, and comes from crops and animals that have been well cared for. Imports are often accountable to lower standards than UK grown foods and can therefore be sold cheaper. We spoke to UK farmers about what more we could do to support locally grown produce and reconnect farmers with the communities and the people they feed.
