This Thursday Citizen Good’s Caroline Bates is joining Andy Young from Achieve Goal 12 and Jeff Macdonald CSO of Bulbshare to share their recent learnings on the topic of food waste.
It’s the latest huddle from the Future Food Movement, a community bringing together people from across the food and drinks industry for collaboration, learning and impact on addressing the climate crisis.
In this week’s huddle you’ll hear the latest facts and learning on Food Waste. Project Drawdown tells us that food waste alone accounts for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions as well as influencing other sustainability issues such as boosting food security, improving livelihoods and saving land and water usage. So curbing food waste is a goal in itself but also one that helps us address other key sustainable development goals.
Andy will share how Food waste is being addressed and reduced in a range of organisations and Caroline and Jeff will share the key drivers and barriers to citizens adopting better habits to reduce food waste amongst everyday people sharing ideas for you to implement on how you can encourage and support citizens and consumers in reducing their food waste impact.
