Climate change remains one of the most pressing issues of our time, and it demands immediate action.
As the latest IPCC report stated: to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees, We need to have rapid, far reaching and unprecedented change.
In response, cities around the world are organizing dedicated events to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices. Among them, London Climate Action Week 2023 is set to be a game-changer, established in 2019 it’s now it’s 4th year.
It starts next week from 24 June – 2 July 2023, bringing together individuals, organisations, and government bodies in a united effort to combat climate change. The event aims to showcase innovative solutions, encourage discussions, and drive meaningful action toward a sustainable future. It promises something for everyone. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technologies, sustainable practices, and successful case studies from across the globe.
This year’s event will emphasise the importance of collective responsibility: fostering collaboration amongst governments, businesses, and citizens, acknowledging that everyone has a role to play in addressing climate change. Participants will be encouraged to take individual actions to drive impact and reduce their carbon footprint as citizens or organisations.
While talking about collaboration, our sister DTAG agency, Carter Wong created the brand identity and assets for LCAW which is still used today, from a brief from E3G.
LCAW 2023 aims to amplify the voices of youth and marginalized communities, recognising their unique perspectives and the vital contributions they bring to the climate movement. The event will provide a platform for young leaders and grassroots organisations, empowering them to share their experiences, ideas, and calls to action.
Let’s all unite during LCAW 2023 and embark on a transformative journey toward a greener, more resilient planet.
